Brackley Town Hall, Northamptonshire

Architect: Haverstock Architects LLP

Contractor: Borras Construction Ltd

Situated in Brackley, Northamptonshire, the Town Hall is a Grade 2* listed building that dates back to 1704. It was originally built by John Wootton, a local Brackley Mason. The hall opened in 1706 and was used as a court of Law and Council chamber from 1707. The hall was extended in 1883 and then saw further alterations throughout the 20th century.

In August 2015, the Hall secured £2.2m of heritage lottery funding in order to restore it for future generations. After closing its doors in August 2016, an extensive programme of alterations, refurbishment and restoration began in January 2017. Amongst its many features, the building now contains the town council offices, the Georgian Market Hall, a new bistro, a permanent exhibition, the Civic Hall and stunning accommodation in the attic space. The project works completed in September 2018.

D.R.Nolans were proud to provide full quantity surveying services on this project.
