Brackley Town Hall Wins RIBA Award

We are delighted to share the news that Brackley Town Hall has won a 2019 RIBA East Midlands Award. 

This Grade ll* listed building, dating back to the 1700's, required extensive restoration and adaptation to ensure its financial viability and secure its place at the heart of the community for many years to come.

Works included the introduction of new community spaces, a ground floor bistro and holiday let accommodation to provide an income for the maintenance and care of the building. The Town Council has retained a presence in the building with a small office. All of this was achieved with considerable respect for the historic fabric and original design of the building.

The scheme was HLF funded and works completed in 2018, when the building was handed back to the community with an extensive and successful programme of engagement events.
